Zambian Archery started off the year with the Zambian Indoor Nationals held in Mkushi. This saw the biggest number of archers we have had at an indoor shoot so far in Zambia.

Joshua Van Der Merwe in the cub division shot a 288, this being his first National indoor tournament, as well as being a new member to Zambian Archery. We are happy to welcome the Van Der Merwe family ( Johan, Carina, Joshua, Noah, and Danile) as our newest members. As well as Theo Heyns who is 7 years of age to our archery family.

Currently our league shoots are running between 3D and Field. We will be hosting our Field Nationals in July of this year. This event will be held in Mkushi, hosted by the Mkushi Archery Club. The 3D Nationals will be held in October of this year in Lusaka, hosted by the Lusaka Archery Club.

The 2 ranges in use for our events are, one in Lusaka at Shimbololo near Lusaka, run by our coach Richard Monge (this is the range that the ARFAC was held at in 2019).  Our second range is in Mkushi behind Agrico, currently managed by Simon Elton. Both ranges accommodate 3D and Field events.

Zambian Archery is pleased that our numbers are growing. We have seen many of our current archers achieving higher scores in all events as well as scoring their personal best. We are delighted to have some of our members participating in an online coaching session on the 15th of May . This will give us a huge advantage moving forward, to help improve our own archers as well as coach new participants in Zambia. This will surely also improve archery in general.

Hello, I am trying to find a Simon Elton who lived in Victoria Falls approximately 10 years ago. He is a photographer. Could you please ask him if he remembers an artist called Guy Coheleach who met him in Victoria Falls? I would really like to contact him. guymbogo@gmail.com. Thank you.
