We asked Lynn to give us a brief background on her archery career leading up to her new role as our skilled VCC. She clearly has a passion for archery and what the IFAA stands for. We are extremely excited to have her as part of the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Archery has, quite simply, changed my life. It has brought many new friends into my life and has given me the opportunity to see places around the world I would never have visited. It is a sporting activity that can last a lifetime. You do not have to be super-fit to participate. You do not have to give it up when you get \u2018too old\u2019 and it is a sport the whole family can do together!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This was my first Field event. It was a great experience and a true delight to be the BHR Champion!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    EBHC 2014 (France)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I won at my third bowhunter event with a 1-point lead! It was a dream come true against ace archers.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    EFAC 2017 (Germany)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This event was a first-time trip as a solo archer. I was very proud of being \u2018brave\u2019 and also my silver medal.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Another first in SA. My first World Field event, the furthest away from home ever \u2026 and a World title!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    WFAC 2019 (Netherlands)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A little bit of pressure at this event as \u2018reigning World Champion\u2019 up against first class BHR ladies.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Volunteer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Since taking-up archery in 2009 I have been an active volunteer at club level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    My first role on the IFAF Committee was as the Ordinary Member (2010). In 2013 I was elected as the Secretary. Since then, I have served as PRO (2014-15) and IFAA Rep (2016-current).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Being IFAF\u2019s IFAA Rep is an ideal job for me. I attend as many IFAA events as I can. I genuinely love all round formats! l have a real passion for what the IFAA embodies; open access to field archery for everyone. The \u2018Family of Archers\u2019 ethos is very special and is something we should be proud of.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    In March, I was asked to take on the role of Video Conference Call (VCC) Coordinator. I am still learning (as you can see) but am enjoying \u2018giving back\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
