Every two years the IFAA elects two Officers of the Executive to serve a term of four years.
The election results for the Offices of the Vice-President and the Secretary are as follows:
Office of the Vice-President
Steve Kendrick has been re-elected unopposed for a fourth term.
Office of the Secretary
Marietjie Fryer has been elected unopposed.
Marietjie resides in Pretoria, South Africa and is a member of SANAA.She has a degree in Human Resource Management and completed various courses in Administration and Management.
She is a member in the Commission of the National Women in Sport (South Africa).Marietjie has eleven years of experience as archery Executive at club and national level.
She will undoubtedly be an asset to the management of the IFAA.
We say “goodbye” to our current Secretary
Martin Koini is the IFAA Secretary since 2005 and will retire from that position on 31 December.
After ten years of selfless service to the IFAA he has decided that it was time to allow “new blood” to take over this time consuming position and spend more time in the development of his business.Marietjie will be a worthy person to replace him.
It was not always smooth sailing and we had rough patches on several occasions. But we always were able to resolve our differences to the benefit of the IFAA.
Martin will not be completely lost to the IFAA and will remain an ardent supporter of the DFBV, our German member association, where he will be involved with training and coaching.
We say “good bye” to Martin and thank him for his commitment to the IFAA and the sport of archery in all its disciplines.
